Distribution of blankets among the

 flood affected

 

In the year, 2013, the inhabitants of U.N.Pur and Amta II Blocks, suffered a lot on the eve of the Durga Puja on account of flood. The villages of Rashpur & Udang II GPs under Amta – I Block also affected by flood water. A team of “Kolkata Seva Kendra and members of Agragati visited the flood affected areas and a report was forwarded to the “Donor Organisation (Seva Kendra) subsequently, 350 (three hundred fifty) blankets were supplied by “Caritas India” which were distributed by Seva Kendra Kolkata among the flood affected & distressed families of Bhawanipur-Bidhichandrapur, Garh-Bhabawanipur, Sonatala, Kanupat-Monsuka, Kurchi-Shibpur under U.N.Pur, Thalia & B.K.Bati under Amta-II and Rashpur & Udang –II under Amta I Block. Other relief materials were also distributed among the families of Thalia, B.K.Bati & Udang-II from the campus of Agragati and the flood affected people of U.N.Pur were supplied with the materials from the campus of a club at “Chacha Road” at U.N. Pur Block.
