Name of the project-“ Base Line Survey & Mobilization for Formation SHG for 500 Artisans in Silver Jewelry craft at Lari dist Ramgarh under AHVY”

 Agragati Ramgarh has been implementing a project “Promotion of Silover Jewllery Craft” with the support of Ministry of Textiles Govt.of India Through DC(H), Ranchi since 2009 with the community of   Silver Jewllery Community at Lari, Chitarpur and Karma areas in Ramgarh District. Total 500 silver Jewllery Artisans benefitted directly and indirectly. Last few years we have been capacitated and developed modern design through different capacity building programme. As a result the Artisans become better equipped to make market demand oriented products with the use of modern tools and techniques. In this year the artisan  have produced a large number of Jewelry items and earned more profit compared to previous year. Now the artisans capable of producing Silver and Gold made jewelry items with the help of each and others because the artisans are more united now. The main reason is all the artisans are now members of a SHG Group, They are running SHG and maintaining thrift and credit through this SHG and they are under process to form an Artisans federation for the development of their community. Due to fund crisis of the concerned department and  lengthy process of various related department planned capacity building programme and others marketing facilities could not been  sanctioned during this year. Being deprived of programme based support of department the Artisans have not lost their heart or confidence. They on their own generated order and supplied jewelry products with their own initiatives.
